how are you all?

i was thinking about you today, and how i haven't actually seen any of you in person since the marathon and so i thought i would ask.

me, i'm doing really well. this is the busiest semester of my graduate education thusfar. i'm working with sixth graders in a suburban school, and i love it. i'm stoked to get started every day, and i don't think i've ever felt that way about my work before. it's a great feeling. i have a real sense of purpose.

i'm helping direct the school play, a musical version of "sleepy hollow," which is a surreal experience in and of itself. in doing so, i have talked about my time working with you all. don't worry, i speak of you lot in superlatives. but i do refer to ucb as 'the theater i worked at in manhattan.' lately, i've started talking in more specifics. as a result, word has spread throughout school that i know billy from 'boiling points.' quite a few kids have asked me to get his autograph, which blows my mind. your work is starting to reach the outside world, folks. thank you for making me look good by association.

i don't know when the next time i'm going to be back in nyc is. but i did want to drop you all a note and say hey. i miss seeing you in person - there's some things the internet can't do or say.

anyway. hope you're all doing well. seriously.

love
dunford
