Will, Chris -

You wanna have pizza together while Sean is having pizza with the other people and then talk about it here, say the day after we eat the said pizza?

Because it will be the BEST.PIZZA.EVER.

Take that SEAN.

I'll take it! One of the initial intents of pizza month was to get as many people as possible to celebrate. Afterall, October is National Pizza Month for everyone...not just me.

Please, eat 31 days of pizza...Whether as an opportunity or a challenge, see if you're up to the task.

But maybe you'd have a slice with me and then we'll clean up the pizza place after? Maybe?

Ooh, wait. Erik? Did you say Two Boots?

Good pizza. Right, Sean?

Perhaps I will find a way to bring Albany pizza to you, somehow. Though you will regret it.

I think Frank's on 23rd between Park and Lex has the best tomato sauce hands down. It's very small seating wise but totally worth it if you've never been.

I have never been affiliated with this pizza month thing- and last night I was talking about it- very briefly with Becky Yamamoto. And then I totally had a dream- that Royal Wood and Variety Underground were playing across the street from each other on Avenue B- and as a weird piece offering or something???- cause apparently our shows were at war or something- Sean and Tony were hosting VU and I was in the audience and they gave me a pizza- but it was in a GAP clothing box and was wrapped with pink floral gift wrap and a big bow??? It was really fucking WEIRD.

Pizza is not only delicous, it can be educational! The next time you are about to enjoy pizza with your children use it as a quick teaching aid to reinforce the concept of fractions:

Example 1: Mom, Dad, Dick, and Jane all want equal shares of the pizza. What are the fractions for one pizza?
<Example 2: Dick and Jane are ordering a pizza but they can't agree on toppings. Dick wants pepperoni and Jane wants mushrooms. They decide to split the pizza and order 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 mushroom. As they begin cutting the pizza Dad arrives and wants some too. Dick shares 1/2 of his pepperoni and Jane shares 1/2 of her mushroom. What fraction of the whole pizza does each one receive?
Answer 1: One slice each if divided into 4 slices, 2 if divided into 8 slices, 4 if divided into 16 slices. (All servings equal 1/4 of the whole pizza.)
Answer 2: 1/4 to Dick, 1/4 to Jane and 1/2 to Dad. (Mike and Jane probably need to practice their fractions!)
Pizza Month!!!

Also the Two Boots in Park Slope -- they don't sell slices, only individual pies. I used to work there and they are awesome!
MJC--Where is there good pizza in Carrol Gardens? I have yet to have one decent slice in my neighborhood.

I had an amazing white slice (plus an amazing spinach stromboli) at the pizzeria right at the corner of Court and DeGraw. Admittedly, may have been a one-time fluke, but it was goooooood. And the lady behind the counter had some very enjoyable addytood. Reminded me of a South Philly pizzeria.
