Old People are Weird

#1
Fliering Adventures of Bob:

Last week, I almost got into a fist fight with a group of preens who were ripping cards out of my hands.

This week, I saw how wacked out the older generation can be! Two examples (both from Washington Square Park):

1.) I had a 50+ year-old guy who was high on something who would repeatedly point at me and laugh. His laugh-a-thon began when, as I was fliering him, he said, "Your show isn't on Wednesdays! It's on Tuesdays! Ha, ha, ha!" He thought this was hilarious. He stopped to repeat it several times to passerbys. He got so loud that people I was trying to flier after him couldn't even hear me say "Hello..."

Having learned my lesson from last week -- trying to rationalize with a jackass -- I just laughed along with him. And, honestly, it did become funny to see how funny this guy thought it was. He liked me laughing along. Pretty soon, two older guys sitting on a nearby bench rescued me by talking to the guy. And even though he would periodically look over at me and say, "He even walks funny! Look at that! Ha, ha, ha!", he calmed down after a bit.

2.) Another 50+ year-old guy with whacked out hair and a DeBarge t-shirt on stopped and read my flier as I held it up for people. I asked him, "Would you like one?" He said, "I'm still making up my mind." That response caused the guy who was laughing his ass off to laugh again! To which the DeBarge guy said, "I got tons more where that came from!" Oh man...

Just please come to my show this week. It's good. Really. It'll make you laugh. It'll make you think. What more can you ask from a comedy show?
