NYers: tell me about your cable/phone/internet situation

Updates please!

Verizon now has a triple-play for $94 which includes a free box for a year and free DVR for 6 months. Is the internet and/or tv service worse than TWC? I personally don't want to ditch my landline because I had lousy experiences with the TW digital phone (unless it's gotten radically better; also I am weirded out by the idea of having no landline). I hear that Verizon internet is slow. Is this true? So confused!

My parents have verizon cable and internet in pennsylvania. I'm pretty sure that the internet is as fast as the TWC that I have here. I can't stand the interface of the Fios (assuming that's the cable you'd be getting) but if I were to save money by switching, I'd do it.

I just got Time Warner triple play because I was sick of my old phone company and its surprise bill totals each month.

So far, I'm happy with it.

The whole package is $89 and with taxes is supposed to come to about $120. (I don't quite get the $30 in taxes but I do save $80/month now.)

Michelle, I was weirded out at first by no landline, too.
