No more email notification?

I used to get an email telling me that I received a new PM. In fact, earlier today I was receiving them. But the last several PMs had no email sent about them. I've tripple checked my options in the User CP, and that option is set to yes. Any ideas what's up?

I really don't know what the problem might be. I'll check to see if there are any ideas at vbulletin's site. They aren't in your "junk" folder?

I'm on a UN*X box, so no junk folder. I looked through the logs, and apparently the mail host (mercury.f5hosting.com) dropped out of the DNS tables for a while. That caused my mailer to reject the mails because the domain did not resolve. But it's back, and I'm receiving the emails again.

I haven't received any email notification of my subscribed threads for three days, now. I thought it was just that no one had replied to anything, it being the weekend and all. I usually get a ton of email notices on Mondays, though.

Email notification for subscribed threads can be tricky.

My ISP recently moved the site to a new server and some email functionality was screwed up temporarily.

I would imagine things will return to normal soon.

How can I turn OFF the emails? I don't want to get emails everytime someone replies to something I've posted in or subscribed to.

First off there is a link in every email generated from subscriptions that you can use to unsubscribe to all threads. Secondly, click on User CP at the top and then "edit options" and look for the question which says: Use 'Email Notification' by default? Choose "No."

I was getting slow notification about PMs recently, but it seems to have picked back up in speed, seeming instantaneous.
