Improv Resource Center - Forums
With baseball season upon us, I ask this question of not just native New Yorkers, like myself, but to those who grew up outside this fair city (and the rest of the metro area):
New York Yankees or New York Mets?
Which is your favorite team? If you had to choose to root for only ONE team, who would you root for? Any great memories of watching a particualr game, whether it be at the stadium or at home w/ your friends?
(If neither is to your liking, then what is your favorite team? Don't be shy. Though this thread is in the New York board and the main question is asking the New York improv scene to choose between two teams, if you choose neither than share your favorite team with the entire community.)
BTW: I'm a die-hard Yankee fan.... and when the Yanks won the World Series in 1996, I was in Queens at my cousin's kid's first birthday party with the rest of the clan, deep into Met territory. Everyone cheered that night, even Met fans because it was the first World Series won by a NY team in a decade. Car horns were honking, kids yelling "hooray!", it was surrreal.
