New PMs?

When I go to the main message board page, it always says I have a new message at the bottom, but when I go to my user CP, there are no new messages.

The total number of messages is correctly updated (i.e. if I delete a sent message, it will say I have one less message on the front page), but it always says I have one new message.

Any thoughts?

It takes time before that is revised, I've noticed. Just like when you visit for new threads, it doesn't revise after you've visited them.

It's as if your "last visit" can be spread out over several visits to the site.

That's my guess.

If you go to the main page and get the pop up for a new PM, then click on a link, and then use the "back" button to return to the main page, you will likely get the pop up again.

This might also happen if your browser is not getting a fresh copy of any other page every time you go to it. If you get the message more than once, I would refresh the page you are currently on. It should go away.
