Introducing banner advertising on the Improv Resource Center! If you would like to advertise your show, theatre, classes, festival, book or other improv related item, here is how you do it:

First send your image or flash animation to ircmullaney [at] gmail [dot] com, along with the URL you want to link to and the title of your ad.

Ads should be 620 wide by 100 tall.

Then send your payment via paypal to the same address.

Prices are as follows:

$15 for the first week of an ad

$5 for each week after that*

*So an ad that runs 4 weeks would cost $30, $50 for 8 weeks.

Contact mullaney for special rates if you would like to run your ad for more than 8 weeks. Anytime you change the ads image or link, the ad is considered a new ad and the $15 for the first week applies.

I know that the banner ad which promotes this program isn't the most beautiful ad in the world. If anyone would like to create a sharper, less annoying ad, send it to me. If I like yours, I will use it instead and give you a $30 credit toward your own banner ad.

Are you simply rotating through all of the active ad banners? So if 10 people purchase a banner this week and only 5 people purchase a banner next week, my ad will be seen twice as often the second week even though I pay the same price? (Assuming a constant amount of traffic, etc.)

Or are you limiting the number of ads in rotation at any one time? So that, for example, a particular week might be sold out?

I've not really made a decision about that yet, Ben. I would imagine that I may set an upper limit of ads, but I want to see how things play out first.

The simple answer is that it will rotate among the ads that are currently running. I will be happy to share the number of ads currently running at any time and to let you know how many clickthroughs you are getting.
