I've always thought there should be more simple emoticons. I wish I could think of some now but I can't. I'm constantly posting things and realise there should be some sort of tone to it that could be accomplished with a simple face expressing a simple emotion but its never there :( ok , sometimes its there but rarely.
I just thought of a couple while I've been typing! :)
A simple "annoyed" would be nice, sometimes the violently angry face ( ) is not suitable.
Also an earily dead serious face would be great.
Weeping would be helpful.
There are loads but I just can't remember.
I'm not sure if they are available, they probably aren't, but as a site about acting and in particular long-form improv(where subtle facial expression changes can be especially hilarious) I feel as though there should be less over the top, over active emoticons ( :puke: ) and more subtle and realistic facial expressions sitting on circles.
Only a little better, its not REALLY that big of an issue *shifty* ..... I guess *slightly annoyed while failing to mask it with fake non-caring and content attitude smiley face*

I agree with most of this. I've never used the violently angry emoticon, although recently it's been rather appropriate for me. I think BB is right - a simple 'annoyed' would be a perfect addition. I also agree that an emoticon that is simply an eerily serious face would be a good choice. I hate the upchucking emoticon, and always have. In fact, when writing a post in my journal, I'll click *check message length* just to make the emoticons freeze for that very reason. I have no problem with (and in fact enjoy) the rest of the current emoticons.

I love the bouncing happy face and the sad/dejected looking one. I ADORE the dancing banana to convey elation, and would vote for it twice if I could. I too would like to see one that weeps - possibly two - one that is being overly dramatic about it, and one that is simply shedding a sad tear. Of course, I realize that might be asking just a *tad* much.

I'd really like to see one that simply looks just like Eeyore. After all, I find myself in Eeyore mood from time to time - and when dealing with certain issues, I'm in Eeyore mood more often than not. Of course, that could mostly be covered with a sad/dejected looking emoticon, such as the one already suggested. However, for me, there's sad and dejected, and then there's simply Defeatist Mode (I'm acting just like Eeyore). So sayeth The One. ;)

Personally, I like #'s 1, 2, 3, and 5. #8 is funny, but only for about ten seconds...and then it begins to wear on the nerves.

I could always click something to make it hold still. ;)

I {heart} the hearteyes.

I fear uses of the banana. But I love it at its purest. Like how Michael Jackson sees children versus how the world sees Michael Jackson seeing children. I hope that makes cents.
