The new MTA budget, if approved, would include the elimination of weekend service on the X27/X28 express bus line as well as the elimination of the entirety of the B 37 bus route. Weekend service on the B4 and B16, as well overnight service on the B64 will also be lost if the budget is approved. Additionally, the MTA plan would cut bus service on the B31 in Gerritsen Beach after midnight and weekend service on the B2 line in Marine Park.
The next step in this fight against the Metropolitan Transit Authority for Brooklynites happens on Wednesday, January 28th. The public hearing regarding these proposals and service cuts beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, 333 Adams Street, Brooklyn.
