Once again...congratulations to my family in Miami for another amazing accomplishment.
Just a couple weeks ago, JTF was given a really good review (you all know how hard it is to get reviewed for improv...let alone get a good review) in the Miami New Times.
Now, out of the blue, they are being recognized by the Miami Herald's arts/entertainment paper, The Street. They have been awarded ELITE LOCAL THEATER COMPANY...which is awesome b/c not only does it signify them as an amazing improv comedy company...but it also points out that improv comedy is as legitmate as any other form of theater in the area.
For anyone who's been in the trenches starting up their own company, you know what a huge thing this is...it just vindicates years of hard work, drive, and creativity.
Congratulations David, Alex, Carlos, Allan and the rest...I wish I could be down there to help you celebrate this. When we started the company all those years ago...who knew? Who effin' knew?
We shall be raising many a beer bottle at the festival this year!
