After a lot of people nudging us to do it,
Just The Funny is finally hitting the road and doing some touring. We're starting small (just the two of us,
Carlos Rivera and
David Christopher) and are performing with some great groups here in Florida. Hopefully, we will finally travel to some festivals out of the state this spring!
Any advice from travelling groups, especially duos, would be great. BTW, thanks to
Joe Bill for giving us some great stuff to work with from
The Scramble, as our longform duo show,
DUOCITY, has a lot of elements from it.

On Friday, September 16 at 8:00 pm Carlos Rivera and I will join our good friends at
SAK Comedy Lab for a guest spot in their
Duel of Fools show!

Just The Funny is then sending our two-man show
DUOCITY, to the
Jacksonville Laugh Fest this weekend for a show at 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 17. I will also be teaching a longform workshop there on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
So far the fest looks awesome and
Improv Jacksonville have been wonderful organizers. They even got some great press on TV:

About DUOCITY
DUOCITY takes on issues and input from the audience to create multiple scenes, locations and characters in what can be best described as an interactive, improvised comedic play. The show showcases the two unique personalities and styles of both actors, with David Christopher’s dry, absurd and sometimes dramatic approach, opposite Carlos Rivera’s quirky left-field wit. DUOCITY will feature intelligent and edgy humor, created from characters and situations morphing reality with the absurd.
