Hamlett's Going-Away Show w/Flynn, O'Neil, Daddy, Allison, Rosario & AUCTION 12/4 8pm
After four years in the big city, Melanie Hamlett has decided to give up
her apartment and move to New Mexico to write, where she'll probably live in a trailer with no running water or toilet. Come out and join this
hobo and some of her favorite storytellers and improvisers for a
"going-away-for-an-undetermined-amount-of-time" show. Afterwards
there will be a carnival-like party with an
AUCTION! It's sure to be ridiculous since most of the hobo's friends are crazy comedian folk.
The line-up for the evening includes:
John Flynn (UCB, Nights of Our Lives, Moth Grandslam)
Daisy Rosario (NPR, Moth Grandslam)
Kevin Allison (The State, RISK!, endless credits)
Melanie's favorite improv team
Daddy, along with their founder
Shannon O'Neill
And slideshow-story from one of Melanie's most recent adventures at
The
Holy Land (a Christian themed amusement park where she fell in love with
hot Jesus ) before they crucified him.
Hosted by Melanie Hamlett (Moth Grandslam, Risk! Electric Literature, and
http://melaniehamlett.com )
Prizes will be auctioned off by professional auctioneers
Seth Lind
Show starts at 8pm at The Creek (10-93 Jackson Ave, Long Island City). Auction and after-party start around 10pm downstairs.
