Legal Marijuana: Salvia divinorum

I have a couple friends who absolutely swear by this crazy stuff and a few for whom it does nothing. The ones who like it say it's like hallucinogenic cocaine that lasts for about 10 minutes. Apparently it's recommended to get the concentrated stuff because it's dry so it's not all that easy to smoke.

Other than that, I can't tell you much.

It's awful. I mean, I have friends who say it's awful. I think my friends would say they tried it twice and hated it. Really weird. My friends say it's really weird.

It's ok. It's a great legal hllucination.
You smoke it... pull real hard, then exhale. You feel like nothing happens until a friends sayd you've been laughing for 10 minutes. You sweat a lot. Then you come back and realize it is 30-40 mintues in the future.

I fel like I was in an M.C. Estcher painting.

If anyone gets some, let me know. I'm down.

What are you saying? If you are saying weed should be legal in comaprison to salvia, I agree with you.

If you mean worse like it is inferior... it's tough to say.
To clarify, salvia is only worth it because it's legal. It's a very short high. Weed is totally different. Weed does not alter reality like this does.
You could never operate a car on salvia. In fact, it's actually difficult to operated a chair on salvia. In this sense, it is worse than weed. But worse sounds weird. It's better than weed in that you can trip... sort of.

I say just get shrooms or acid... not legal, but better?

Legalize everything!

Not only have I smoked worse, I've also done worse to banana peels.
I also agree Salvia kinda sucks. Never saught it out, even knowing it is legal. But it was worth the try, and I'm glad I tried it.

Lucia, if you were to reccommend one or the other, would you a banana peel or salvia?

Salvia is not a marijuana substitute. It is not something you smoke to get high. It is something you smoke to get the short intense and not necessarily pleasurable trip. It really is a niche drug that most people shouldn't be interested in.

I finally read the actual article.

The marijuana comparison is very irresponsible. Not only are the two drugs not at all analogous, but, as I said earlier, it suggests that salvia is a way to get stoned, when it most certainly is not. It is pretty funny though that they try to smear Salvia by a comparison to marijuana. One would think with the relative popularity of the various drugs, the much clearer LSD comparison would be the headline. I guess they take a swipe at pot whenever they get the chance.

Its a good thing those laws ended the scourge of Marijuana by the way.

At least the article included some rational ideas, at the bottom of course.

Doblin said salvia isn't "a party drug," "tastes terrible" and is "not going to be extremely popular." He disputes the fact teens are its main users and says older users are more likely.

"It's a minor drug in the world of psychedelics," he said.

Moreover, it's hard to say how widespread the use of salvia is. National and state surveys on drug use don't include salvia, and because it is legal in most states, law enforcement officials don't compile statistics, either.

San Diego State University last year surveyed more than 1,500 students and found that 4 percent of participants reported using salvia in the past year.

I've done it. You can order it online, but it's horseshit.
It didn't do anything...it's a fucking scam.

AND I got it in liquid form. It was green and burned my mouth

It's not worth money, I'll never go out of my way to do it again, it's nothing like weed, but it does have effects. Anelso5, I think you got ripped off.
Again, I don't care for it, but it does work. Never tried the liquid. I always knew of smoking or chewing.
