i've looked high and low for a live journal online. livejournal....yea, that's shite. but here i hopefully have an open forum for my thoughts, feelings, actions, and what-nots.
my name is joshua beech. i'm a 19yr. old writer. i work at a dishwashing job at a dirty little trucktop/diner. that seems to be the only kind of job i've ever been able to hang on to. i guess at this point i'm just the true slacker/writer/loser. it doesn't do much for my self-esteem, but it works wonders for poetry
that and tiffany. tiffany lynn vaughn is my savior, my angel, and my redemption. we fell in love within three weeks of meeting one another. sometimes, you just know.
we are now in this long waiting period that will end in december of this year when i drive across the country to pick her up and bring her here to start our lives together. in meantime i can't sleep, i can't eat, and i can't function. i know it's my decision and i could get there any time i pleased, but right now i have to put my affairs in order...make enough money to pay my rent and bills while i'm gone PLUS enough money to get to oregon from alabama. that's tough. but everything will be okay, and one day (december 7 hopefully) i'll be albe to look into her smiling eyes. and everything will be beautiful.
but in the meantime....ouch. i miss her.\
haloween today, my first post. i decided to be a gulf war vet bum. i know, tasteless and sick. welcome to the neighborhood. the mind can think of terrible things when deprived of nothing but automatic patter for eight hours a day handling other people's uneaten food....hmm.
i listen to good bit of music in my freetime. radiohead, at the drive-in, beck...the like. watch movies (i'm watching trainspotting right now) and read a lot (mostly chuck palahniuk and e.e.cummings). i've written for eight years. everything from poetry, to stories, to plays, to music. i've been in the amateur world as of yet. in the next spring semester i will direct a one-act play that i have written. think of it as waiting for godot meets clerks. not a really challenging combination, i know.....
but i had to write something (story of my life :up: )
anyhoo, check back. lots of interesting and not so interesting shite to write about. i have all the time in the world....
