I was laughing with him. Also, I said "booo-urns."

Hauck, you're going to have to see the DVD when it comes out. The improvs changed that night in our fine improv facility, and we're all going to be responsible for it.

Oh.

Here I was thinking gold. Instead, it's cheese.

This sounds more along the lines of kicking a bucket of wings into the audience.

Really? Wings kicked into the audience?!? That's a great idea! I would love to go to that show, have some laughs and then out of no where, whamo! Free chicken wings!! If it were raining hot sauce I'd be extra happy.

Moving on, this has been recorded and will be on DVD? That is awesome, I shall have to see this.

I barely ever say this:

I would like to right now apologize for my race.

...did anyone *explain what armando was to this guy??*

Seems to me his stories would have been really fucking good if someone actually told him how the format went instead of getting perverse pleasure out of someone being a total tool.

Of course if he was told the format and did not even follow it? Yeah. fuck that..Laugh at him.

The format was explained to him for 30 minutes.

In all honesty he had some really funny moments where people laughed with him. My favorite part was when he told a young girl that she probably thinks he is Dave Chapell.

And his 13 encores.

Shaun, no need to apologize for anything. He did what he did and since it was a complete 90 degree turn from what everyone expected, it was shocking. There was probably an idea in his head and he just went with it.

There also might have been an element of "yeah, yeah, I've done a thousand of these things before."

One thing that should be pointed out is that everyone enjoyed the show. Part of it was the WTF element, but a lot of it was that, in spite of the fact that he didn't do what he was asked to do (which was a dick move on his part, because I know it had been explained clearly, and seriously, how complicated is "get a suggestion and tell some stories"?), the performers didn't hesitate for a second. They took what they'd been given and played hard and well, and they did exactly what he asked them to do and had fun doing it, or at least they looked like they were having fun.

Also, as an audience member, I found Jimmy to be very funny and charming, dick moves aside. He engaged the audience immediately and kept us laughing - both at him and with him - the whole time. That's what we paid for, after all. It was awesome and I had a blast watching.

When we laughed at him, it felt like that sort of appreciative laughter that you reserve for the hijinks of children who you adore and don't want to hurt. I got the feeling that he was just happy to be gettin laughs.

He got mad love from the audience of that fine improv facility.

I recall an Armando we had a few years ago in Arizona. She seemed slightly confused by the format, but worked well enough within it. After the break, a Harold started. During the Harold opening she came back on stage (from the audience), pretended to tie up one of our performers to give them a lap dance and started directing the rest of the players. The rest of the Harold was sprinkled with her wandering on stage and moving players where she wanted them. It was, in the vernacular, a hoot.
