Hey Guys- could you vouch for me? Any sort of testimonial would be great. Just post it under the info for this class on the "plug your class, show or event" thread. I would so appreciate it as I am trying to get students out here for the class listed below. I hope you are all well!

IMPROV TECHNIQUE
with
Jamie Denbo
Saturdays am.s* 10 am- 1pm / 4 weeks
starting July 24, 2004 – August 21
( Aug 7 off)
4 weeks/ $120
Jamie Denbo uses techniques developed at the great American comedy
theaters like Second City in Chicago, the Groundlings in Los Angeles
and the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in NYC to introduce actors
to improvisation.

This class is geared toward actors who are interested in learning
improvisation as a* performing medium or simply as a tool to enrich
scripted work.* Her curriculum focuses* more on scenic or long-form
improvisation as opposed to short-form or game oriented
improv seen on shows like ABC's Who's Line Is It Anyway?*

Students of improv comedy will apply skills such as listening,
agreeing, adding* information, staying in the moment,
reacting honestly and opening one's mind to infinite
creative choices.* These skills are then readily available for actors
performing with written material. While much scripted work
doesn't* dictate that an actor literally improvise, actors*
definitely benefit from improvisational tools during auditions,
cold readings and regular scene work.

Ultimately students will use techniques learned in class to perform
The Harold, a long form scenic improvisation performed by a group
of 6-8 improvisers. The Harold is the same form developed originally
by Del Close in Chicago.* It has inspired many of the comic
minds behind Saturday Night Live, SCTV, the Upright Citizens Brigade
and countless others.*
