Is there a real NYPD Choir?

I've tried google, but apart from lots of Poguies lyrics I can only find two blogs that say there isn't one (but there is an NYPD Pipe band)

I have no idea if they are reliable or not, so I figured I'd ask some real New Yorkers.

There is definitely a pipe band - I can try and find out about the choir.

Despite the lyrics "The boys of the NYPD choir still singing 'Galway Bay'", the New York Police Department does not have a choir, though they do have a Pipes and Drums unit that is featured in the video for the song. (Even they did not know "Galway Bay", so slowed-down and silenced footage of another tune was used.) The video featured Irish-American actor Matt Dillon as an NYPD patrolman who 'arrests' the intoxicated MacGowan; Dillon's charisma also saved the precinct-house shoot when the Pogues became drunk on set.
