This might work too

I relize that this mightnot work but what you could do is if your community coollege has a music program (which I would assume it would since its indeed NYC) you might want to check into enroling for a sem in some class and then go to the music building practice rooms and use the pianna's there. Your a student so there would be no one to hinder your stress relief and depending on the price of the class's and how frequent you would tap on the ivorys it might be a cheaper deal.

I'm Rich T

Hi I'm Rich Talarico. I'm from Cental New York State. I've lived in CHicago since Oct 92. I'm at Second City now, Done a lot of Improv at Improv Olympic.

Glad to be here.

My name is not Fat Grim

It's Kevin McDonough. I'm from Pennsylvania, moved to Queens about a year ago. I did a lot of short form in college, but I'm taking UCB classes now (currently in level 3). I also do a little stand-up, but I always feel like a dick when I'm explaining the two-drink minimum to family and friends.

My name is TJ Jagodowski. I'm from Holyoke, Massachusetts, but have lived in Chicago long enough to have fallen for it. I used to work at The Second City, although now I spend the majority of my time at I.O. Go Red Sox.

Thank you Brian and Gwyn. It's almost as frustrating as enjoyable to have to speak this way. I hope you guys are at least thinking about coming around for the IO anniversary

hi

My name is Ed Illades and this is my story.

I was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. I lived there til I was 14, at which time I moved to Coronado, CA (a suburb of San Diego, located on an island - half of the island being a Naval Air Station - the island's claim to fame is the Hotel Del Coronado, which served as the set for Some Like It Hot and also the inspiration for the Emerald City, as L. Frank Baum lived in this quaint little town).
When I was in High School, I took to drama and did some small parts in some small plays. My confidence level was low and I quit, convinced I would never be any good.
Although I am Mexican, I look more like my mom's side of the family, which is decidedly Dutch.
I went to art school in Baltimore, MD and studied photography.
I moved to Chicago after that, for reasons too numerous and uninteresting to mention.
My roommate and started going to free nights at IO because we were broke. We loved it.
We signed up for classes on a whim. This was last November.
I'm a lifer, I think.
I can't stop.
In the past 7 months I have come to love this artform. I am on a team named Spongecake which I love and my love for working with them grows with every rehearsal and performance. They are the best. Our coach is Dave Gilley and he fucking rules! We are in level 4 classes with Bob Dassie at IO. We are new and green, but I think that some day we will be really good as a team.

My favorite improvisors to watch are:

In no particular order

TJ Jagadowski
Rich Talarico
Bob Dassie
Abby Sher
Jack McBrayer
Dave Gilley
Craig Cackowski
Jeff Griggs
Bridget Kloss
Simone Silverstein
Marion Oberle
Jenny Hagel
John Lutz
Tall guy from Fashion Bug who's name I don't know
Paul Grondy

These are the people from whom I continuously learn every time I watch them perform. They inspire.

TJ,

I hope I can make it to the 20th. I'd really hate to miss it.

We might be back in Chicago in July at the very least, though, and it'd be great to see you then!

Brian

(From where in Maryland are you?)

When did you move to NY?

If you were hanging out at the Mount Royal Tavern a lot between 1995 and 1998 I'm sure I've seen you around.

I hung out at Club Charles a few times, but not a lot.

I'm sure we know some people in common, considering the one degree of separation factor in Baltimore.

We could...

...but that might be exhausting. most of the people I knew were in the art school.

Wait Jenna, who worked at Paper Moon? She's a social whirlwind, you may have known her.

Did you ever rent videos at Video Americain? I worked there.

Howdy, y'all! My name is Danny Mora and I am from Chicago via Tampa, Florida. I discovered improv in my college improv troupe Theater Strike Force and continue to learn more about the art form in Chicago at ImprovOlympic with my posse, People of Earth.

Go Gators/Bucs!

Unfortunately I can only afford to come back once a year, and this year that has to be for my family reunion over the 4th of July.
So I will be home soon, but not for the Anniversary.
I get in on June 29th.

I was hoping to see Atlantis but.....
Maybe you can tell me what I should make a point of seeing and when I should come by IO.
