Hi all,

I've been signed up to these boards for awhile, but have only been using them for the powers of good and not of awesome so far. Anyway, my name is Chris, and I've been an improviser with ChicagoImprovAnarchy for a couple of years now.

I'm married with chinchilla and am moving from Chicago to DC at the end of this month. I like short walks on the beach, ice cream and Andy Williams.

Into to all

Ok, so I've finally got enough ganas to introduce myself. I've been a stalker for many moons, so I should jump in and post.

My name is Sheena and I'm just starting out in NYC improv. I'm new to the ways of the east and have fallen in love with Baskin Robbins and cheesesteak, and kick-ass improv. There is so much to learn and so many people to learn from. I'm about as excited as a 14 year old girl at a Justin Timberlake show, and that's pretty damn excited.

Lots of luv to all!

Secretly Cuban
my name is fred...I'm starting Paul Scheer's 3B next week at the Producer's Club. I once saw a person from Van Buren on the N/W platform at 23rd street

Fred: (to my friend) Holy shit, that guy's in Van Buren

Friend: (looks over, mildly interested) Yeah.

Fred: We should say hi to him.

Friend: Yeah we could

(pause)

(pause)

Fred: (a small shout) Van Buren!

(pause)

Fred: (louder) Van Buren!!!

(the VB guy turns and looks in the direction of Fred and Friend.)

VB: Oh hey

Fred: (beeming) Great show tonight!!

VB: Oh thanks, thanks for coming out

Fred: Yeah......uh.....any.....time!!! (Fred sits smiling)

VB: (pause) You guys live in Astoria?

Friend: Yeah.

Fred: Yeah, Astoria!!!

VB: Cool.......you like it?

Fred: Oh ya know....its home.

I actually said that...I actually said, "its home." It's home?!?!? As compared to what...an old empty refrigerator. I'm moving from Astoria, but not because of this exchange...because of roommate issues. I don't like my roommate. I like Van Buren. and I like the UCB

Not fired yet...

So I just found this site after perusing the boards over at SketchCenter.com. Nice! So let me intro myself I guess.

My name is Nicole Yates. You can call me nick or nicole or yates or yatesy (that's yates-eeee, not yahtzee). It all comes from when my parent's got divorced and there was already a nicole in my new class and they liked my last name and ran with it. Whatever.

Anyway, I attended the Philly (I'm in Philly! Want a real cheesesteak? Come here then!) H.S for Creative and Performing Arts (Boyz2Men shot thier Motown Philly video in front of my hs, I cut school that day. They are alumni.) as a writing major and after getting tossed from Rider U (fuck you rider! your pot sucks!) for bad grades, I ended up at Temple U as a film major and graduated form there. During college I had many jobs like computer teacher at catholic grade schools (evident by the lack of enamel and flatness on and of my teeth), computer tech, film lab manager (hot splicing and telecine operator were my mainstays), trailer checker for Disney, intern on the movie Jesus' Son (I almost got tossed off the set for almost making Billy Crudup laugh while he was getting all psyched up for a big emotional scene. It was an accident I swear!), web designer, 7-11 worker and much more (oh it gets worse). Right now I am working part time at Penn (right now!). They haven't fired me yet, but I'm sure it'll happen eventually. I tried to get jobs in New York and had a few interviews (MTV, Nick, VH1) but no one ever hired me. I don't even mind the commute to NY from here (just about 3 hours).

I've always been into tv (an only child with no friends but the tv set. Awww, who cares.), movies and comedy & improv and sketch are like homes to me. When I can scrape some money together I want to take classes at the UCB, mostly because I feel like it is where I *should* be. Weird huh? I am hoping for the summer intensive class!

So. I enjoy watching sketch shows (KITH, SNL, Mad Tv), writing sketches (and I wanna stop and say I know improv isn't sketch, but I love both and think one can help the other), watching movies, cooking for my roommates, avoiding work, bong hits and Bob Hope movies. My goal is to hear Amy Poehler say, in my presence "I only got ONE LEG!" because it makes me cry laughing.

From the bottom of the Sea

Hi Everyone. I have a confession to make.

I am actually just a man. Michael Robertson, UCB Lvl. 3 class-taker and all-girls-school librarian extraordinaire.

And remember, as the trailer for A Man Apart, starring Vin Diesel, once told me: A man with nothing lef to live for is a man with everything to fight for.

Tusked!

Whud-up?

I'm Kristina. One of those delayed introduction-like people. I posted a couple times, started a journal (an Hour of the F train), and now give my name. how's that for commitment?

I'm at work and therefore do not feel warm and fuzzy. I do not usually sound this automated.

I'm a UBC Level II (Chad Carter) student. I was a Level I (ari v.- I could mutilate the spelling of his last name but I choose not to) student. I was also once made of bees.

Hajimemashite (Japanese for nice to meet you),

Well, my nickname is Buddha S. and I've been around for a while but decided to finally introduce myself.

Not sure, what to say except that my journal explains more.
A Foreigner in Japan
Also, I love to get feedback to better my writing, etc. and I would be extremely happy to receive messages etc..

If I get over being nervous to introduce myself then I'll say more but I'm a quiet person in general. Thanks and I hope everybody enjoys.

Hi. My name's Aric McKeown, and I'm from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I've been doing improv for 10 years, starting in high school. I've been a member of ComedySportz. I've trained at the Brave New Institute. I've directed two improv/sketch shows at a local high school. I've taught improvisational workshops for Augsburg College. And I'm currently performing with two groups. The Corduroy Rogers (http://www.corduroyrogers.com) and Cracked Helmet (http://www.cracked-helmet.com).

I draw comic strips as well (http://www.ashfieldonline.com) and currently pay the bills as a website designer.

What's that? You want something interesting? Well, I can tell you that I DON'T live in Chicago or New York. I DON'T know anyone famous. And I CAN'T eat Rasin Nut Bran, because it makes my tummy all grumbly, like Tom Waits is in there singing.

Dr. Zap

My name is Doctor Zap. ZAP is an anocronym for my intials. You can call me Zach. I am a historian and consultant for several firms in New yORK City. I have just started taking classes on IMPROVISATION at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New yORK City. I believe in being honest, especially when it counts, and I encourage debate on most issues. I look forward to discussing improvisation with you and, perhaps, performing with you down the road.

Hi. I'm back. Did you miss me?

I've been registered here for, oh, about a year and a half. I still haven't gotten into an improv class, but I have been getting e-mail from my local chapter of ComedySportZ. I've been writing a lot, mainly story and essay oriented humor. It's nice to see that there are more Fluffyans (Philadelphians) around here these days.

Yep. I'm looking for pals, partners, people to work with, patrons and a new psychiatrist. I'll settle for the first three items on the list.

Hello all, I'm Clodia. I'm a Classical Languages Major (hehe, I love saying that) at FU in NYC, and heir apparent to Fordham Comedy Troupe. and I enjoy this smily so I'm including it to cover up my shyness :nervous:

I was told to come here by carrieb for Improv Exchange Day. So, here I am! I'm from ImprovOlympic in Chicago, but now I'm just a patron because I own my own coffee business and I have no time to perform or take electives or anything. So I sit in the audience and wistfully look upon the performers as they do the make-em-ups on stage. <sigh> p.s. I love carrieb
