Improvisation training offered through CFCC in Wilmington, NC.
Each session meets once a week for 8 weeks and will culminate in a final performance. Cost is $55 per 8-week session.
Based on response, the instructor plans to offer a second session, followed by more specified training based on needs of students or individuals with prior experience. Call 910-792-6053 or e-mail brooklingreen@hotmail.com for more information and upcoming class dates.
Next session will be offered Saturdays from 1-4pm Beginning Sept 11th @ Cape Fear Community College. Go to 805 N. 3rd Business Industry and Government building to Pre -register.
Instructor: Brooklin Green is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory in Chicago, IL. Her improv background is diverse, including Improv Olympics, Chicago Improv Festival, and Funny Woman Festival, and a number of improv shows. She has also appeared on A&E's Documentary of Second City The Laugh Track.
I am currently taking this course and greatly enjoying it. The more I read about improv (esp. Napier and Spolin), the more I enjoy her approach. The instructor emphasizes the importance of physical improv and tries to bring in guests during your training so you can expand your views on improv. She is very enthusiastic about wanting to see the improv community grow in Wilmington.
So if you are living in the Wilmington area and interested in improv, no matter what your improv skill level, give Brooklin a call at 910-792-6053 or e-mail brooklingreen@hotmail.com.
Thanks,
AmyK
