**Improv Legends - Screening!**

On Thursday, August 1, at Northwestern University Library, Producer Joel Veenstra will share several unreleased sequences from "Improv Legends: ideas, insights, icons", a documentary series on Chicago Improv by filmmakers Veenstra and Marc Warzecha. An episode from this series is featured at the beginning of the Library's Exhibit "Viola Spolin: Improvisation and Intuition."

The screening will include segments featuring Second CIty Co-Founder Bernie Sahlins, Second City Producer Emeritus Joyce Sloane, and longtime Resident Second City director Sheldon Patinkin discussing the first days of The Second City. Additional sequences may include the impact of original Second City director Paul Sills and the last days of iconic improv guru Del Close. Veenstra will be present to introduce his work, provide some additional commentary and answer any questions concerning the project.

The screening will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the Library's Forum Room, located on the second floor.

The Viola Spolin Exhibit is free and open to the public through August 16, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays
