The Second City in Los Angeles is now offering several INTENSIVE improv experiences. Choose either a 3 day or 5 day intensive in the following disciplines:
Improv For Actors WEEKEND INTENSIVE
This is the first level improvisation class in the three-level Improv For Actors Program (IFA). This class is intended for students who have a background in acting and are looking to add the improvisation to their skill set. You will learn The Second City style of improvisation starting with the beginning. Students will study the agreements of improvisation, the building of an ensemble, creation of an environment and character construction. Offered on the following dates from 10:30a.m.-6:30 p.m.: March 27-29, 2009. Tuition is $335
MUSICAL IMPROVISATION WEEKEND INTENSIVE focus on the elements of improvised words and music and study the first level of our Musical Improv program in one weekend. Learn the basics of musical improvisation and collaboration in a fun and supportive environment. ALL IMPROVISORS WELCOME! Musical Improvisation Weekend Intensive: April 17, 18 and 19. Tuition is $350.00

This is an introductory level improvisation class. You will learn the basic elements of The Second City style of improvisation. Students will study the agreements of improvisation, the building of an ensemble, creation of an environment and character construction. For those with extensive acting training. Writing 1 WEEK-LONG INTENSIVE
This is the introductory level of our sketch writing program. Curriculum includes brainstorming ideas, creating environment, writing dialogue, working with story, writing for the stage and more - this course lays the groundwork for writing comic scenes in the Second City tradition. Offered on the following dates from 11:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.:
