Improv Performance Workshop
Instructor: Jessica Allen
Scenework, scenework, scenework! No matter what form you do, it won't be successful unless your scenework is great. In this workshop, we will work on developing your scenework from an acting perspective by improving your focus, clarity, and attention to detail. You will learn to take advantage of all your partner's gifts that are constantly being given (often without realizing it!) and fully commit to every offer. Put yourself on the path of 100% surrender to your instincts, and enjoy the freedom and fun it will bring.

Musical Improv
Instructor: Larry Rosen and Noel Katz
You don't have to be a good singer to create great songs-on-the-spot. (In fact, you really don't have to sing at all.) This class breaks down the fundamentals of songwriting and shows you how to use them to easily compose instant hits. Group games and exercises make for a safe, supportive and fun environment that will have you improvising everything from hip-hop to showtunes before you know it. The term will culminate in a class show at The PIT for friends and family. Prior musical training is not required for this course. There will be live piano accompaniment at each of the 8 classes as well as the graduation show.
