Improv Electives at The PIT.

#1
Improv Performance Workshop
Instructor: Jessica Allen

Scenework, scenework, scenework! No matter what form you do, it won't be successful unless your scenework is great. In this workshop, we will work on developing your scenework from an acting perspective by improving your focus, clarity, and attention to detail. You will learn to take advantage of all your partner's gifts that are constantly being given (often without realizing it!) and fully commit to every offer. Put yourself on the path of 100% surrender to your instincts, and enjoy the freedom and fun it will bring.

December 11-December 12 (Two-Day Workshop)
Saturday and Sunday, 1-4pm
$100

Improv Coaching Workshop
Instructor: Nate Starkey

Do you want to start coaching improv groups, or have you just started to coach? This 6-hour workshop will help you develop your coaching style and approach. Coaching and teaching helps you become a better improv performer while inspiring others to be better themselves. A good teacher knows not only how to critique a scene or build a student's improv muscles but how to bring the best out of each student. Learn to be your students' guide to discovering their own path to being the best improviser they can be. You will not only leave this class with an assortment of exercises and warm ups, but also ideas about how to promote yourself as an improv coach. Please come prepared with 2 warmups that you can lead. Bring a notebook, pen and your improv game face.

One-Day Workshop: Saturday, November 20
12-6pm
$100
