I really need pants

#1
Women of the IRC, help!

I need pants. Ones I can work, go out and prov in.

My requirements:
- black a must, other colors a plus
- low rise, but not so low your butt crack shows
- no droopy crotch and no camel toe
- fits well in the butt but not skin tight
- front pockets or none at all preferred (slash can make you look hippy)
- boot cut but not bell bottoms
- available in "ankle" (read: short people) length
- won't cost a small fortune

Do they exist?

Lucky (primarily jeans but you might find something there)
Deisel (small fortune, unfortunately)

Express Editor Pants

They are the perfect pants. I hate admitting that I'm in love with pants from a famous chain store, but it's just, simply, true.
I suggest you go to Express, try them on, and then look on Ebay. They have a ton on Ebay.

I agree with Jessica...Express Editor pants are the best. I have to get mine shortened though, the only ones that come in shorter lengths are black and gray. This is the second time in 3 days that I have felt compelled to discuss how much i love these pants.

I like this thread.

Do you know if Express sells Editor pants in ankle/short lengths? I have been having the hardest time trying to find pants that actually fit me. (I'm 4'11"...and I've given up all hope at age 23 that I've ever going to reach the five foot mark.)

Also, while I'm at it, does anyone here know how to hem pants? PM me if you do, I'd gladly pay someone who knows what they're doing to do it.

Just thought I'd third the Express comment. I'm 5'2 and have always been able to go to Express and pick up pants that I can wear with heels that don't need to be hemmed. The cost is very reasonable compared to Banana and AT Loft which have petite sizes too.

I maybe 5'4 but I have the shortest legs in the world so I'll weigh in- Old Navy signiture pants. They are almost always on sale for 20 dollars or less and make my ass look fabulous. But then again, I'm Latin so everything makes my ass look fabulous.

Most importantly the ankle length is perfect.

I hate black pants.
I've never found a good pair.
So for the most part, I refuse to wear them.

But, if worse comes to worse, why not buy a pair or two that almost fit like a dream, then take them to the tailor...

I NEVER find pants that fit me, and given the inspiration of this thread I went to H&M and got a pair of black pants for $25- and they look goooood.

It's too bad about my face- but my ass looks HOT!

Rosie: You're a long stem, I'm more boutonniere. Get it? Long stem rose? Long? Never mind...

Jessica, Liz, and Petra: thank you for the suggestion! I will certainly try it.

gktkd: thank you for the recommendation! Unfortunately Old Navy doesn't fit me very well. I have a pair of their jeans and it looks like I'm wearing a diaper.

Geek Chic: depending on your build - try girls' sizes. When I was smaller (read: weighed less) Gap kids sizes worked for me.
