Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a payment plan? Yes, it's as follows:
Are deposits refundable? No, they guarantee you a space and guarantee us that you show up.
Will these classes be like Chicago's? The classes are absolutely identical to the classes taught in I.O. L.A. and Chicago. The instructors will come from both locations.
Who will be teaching? We won't know the assigned instructors until close to the beginning of class. Check the I.O. websites to see the roster of potential instructors (www.iochicago.net or www.iowest.com). Charna Halpern will be involved in the Level 1 classes. If you participate in all five levels it is likely that you will experience five different instructors.
Will all I.O. class levels be offered in Raleigh? Yes, this first session will only offer Level 1, the next session we will offer Level 2, and we may offer another Level 1. The offerings will continue to grow as we move through the year. Eventually all levels will be offered.
Can we transfer to another training center? You may transfer from the Raleigh classes to classes in Chicago or LA after successfully completing any level.
I have studied improv somewhere else can I start at a higher level? No. The I.O. program is different than all others - so we insist people start at the beginning. That way, someone is not holding back the rest of the class.
Can we audition for I.O house teams? All participants who complete the Level 1 – 5 series will be eligible to audition for I.O. House teams in Chicago or LA.
Is there a benefit to early signup? First, you will have a better chance of getting the class day and time you want. Second, the first 25 registrants will be invited to the I.O. South grand opening event on February 24, 2006 (details listed above).
