Any advice on how to bring people of differing backgrounds together quickly?
Hey there. I recently got cast in an improv show with people from various improv backgrounds. It was profesionally cast by an outside source and the people in it come from all over...Theatre Sports in LA, Second City, UCB, and elsewhere...all of us have quite a bit of background experience and have been cast and given a form fairly unfamiliar to all of us....in fact, a form that's kind of in flux.... but the form isn't as much at issue as the fact that it kind of has the feel right now of a great rock guitar player, blues bass player, experimental drummer, and classical violinist being put together and asked to "jam". What are the best ways, games, discussions, etc....you can advise to overcome stylistic background differences and pull together to tackle a new project with a sense of unified purpose? ....maybe it just takes time for new folks to get to know each other?.....:wishy:
