I've done the Barnes and Noble gift wrapping thing to benefit a non-profit where I used to work and it was very fun and they gave us free cocoa's and other hot beverages from the cafe.

Yes, I did the gift wrap thing too for GMHC - I don't know if they still do it but it's so much fun!

I did gift wrapping for www.visitingneighbors.org. They still need people to deliver presents to lonely elderly! Call the # on their site and ask about their Elf program.

i am doing something through my work, we get to set up a holiday party for kids with autism. my heart is bursting just thinking about it. i am sad sap though.

As nice as it is to see folks volunteering for the holiday, please consider making your Christmas volunteering gift a few hours at some other time in the year - so many people do something nice this time of the year, while people (especially in this economy) are going to be needy year-round.
