IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO ABOUT ANY JOBS IN NYC, I WOULD HUGELY APPRECIATE IT......I WAITED TABLES AND BARTENDED FOR 3 YEARS BUT NOW BECAUSE OF PERSONAL REASONS I NEED A DAY JOB....I HAVE MANY EXPERIENCES IN MANY FIELDS AND A BS IN MEDIA STUDIES.. I CAN SEND MY RESUME ON REQUEST, ALSO ANY ODD JOBS FOR CASH ARE GOOD TOO, ANYTHING, I'M ABOUT TO BE LIVING ON THE STREET..OH, IF ANYONE GIVES ME INFO THAT LEADS TO A JOB, I WILL REWARD YOU.

Welcome to the Club

The job market out there is pretty shitty. Your best bet these days is temp places. I've tried a place called Core Staffing. They work with mostly entertainment based and art based companies which is cool. Also a place that you have probably already tried, but it often has cool jobs is Craigs list. It is at craigslist.com and although tons of people apply for the various jobs they offer, it is still a good alternative place to look. I wish you well, oh and lie. . . a lot.

it took me a over a yr to find the job i have, and i got it off careerbuilder.com, of all places.

i randomly sent my resume out, it went to some recruiter, and now i am sitting in a gray box on the 35th floor here in midtown.

my job is in the creative end of finance, and i went through account-one.
it is a smaller part of a staffing firm called career-group.

check those guys out. worked for me, and i was suffering underpaid in retail before this.
