Help: Beer Garden

#2
It is located off the Astoria Blvd Stop on the N/W line. Exit the station on the side of 31st street that is opposite the Neptune Diner (there is a small park on that side of the street with a playground and tennis courts that you should be able to see from the train platform). Walk a block or so down 31st street (not in the direction of the burger King or gas station, the other way) to the intersection of 24th Avenue and 31st Street. Cross 24th avenue, and take a left down it, it will be the 2nd or 3rd building from the corner.

It is every Astorians duty to know its location, and give good directions. (Good directions: something you Roosevelt Island clowns could learn a thing or two about!)

You had trouble with "Follow the road north to the tip of the island?"

I can hardly be held responsible if you kept walking into the river.

Thanks for the exquisite and dead-on-the-money directions Tiffany. It's nice to know there are New Yorkers who can give good directions. It's so rare these days.

Sure, "Walking north" could be interpreted as, "OK" directions, but I certainly would not consider them "GOOD". OK might work for you wacky Roosevelt islanders, but it doesn't cut the mustard here in Astoria!

You are very welcome, glad I could be of assistance!

Tiffany and I had a painfull experience with getting crappy directions to the beer garden when we were but inexperienced newbie denziens of Astoria.

I'm assuming that she has vowed to never let that happen to anyone ever again.

Excelsior!
