Hat for a big head

Hey everybody, I lost my winter hat. Just buy another, you say. Not so easy when you have a big fat head like me. On top of that I'm also looking for a hat that won't completely flatten my hair (yeah, I know all winter hats will flatten your hair to some extent, but some aren't as bad as others.) What I'm looking for basically is a super loose-fitting, knit hat. A traditional ski or stocking hat won't work, because like I said, hair.

So I was just wondering if any of you super-NYC shoppers had any suggestions where to get such a magical hat. I already went to K-Mart and concluded that Jaclyn Smith must be a pin-head. Ditto dudes hats there. I have to get something before it gets god-awful cold again like it was on Monday. It's a race against time.

Too late! I already bought a blue loose-fit beret at Urban Outfitters. But if I lose this one too, I'll definitely look into watertower-scale sombreros.

I recommend it. It's very soft and warm-a little more than I would normally pay for a hat (I'm poor AND cheap) but this was an emergency and worth the cost.

Kangol all day

Check out the Kangol store on somewhere between 68th and 70th on Columbus Ave. They have awesome hats and a huge selection. Hope that helps
