Harold Night Highlights 3/27/03

Hey, remember Harold Night?

New Team Harold

Erika Kern's French accent -- super cool ("soup-air coo-ell")

Girl Whose Name Escapes Me: It is me ... Jesus!
Julie Tudor: Oh, I thought you were my optometrist Dr. Feinglass.
Girl: (beat) I have many names!

8 p.m.

The DILLINGER debut -- so many great moments (starting right from their great intro to the O'Jays' "Love Train")

Zach Woods: Get the brew crew together 'cause I've got a good one...

(Erik Tanouye's father character tells Sarah Burns-as-his-daughter that she's not getting her allowance)

Burns: Dad, I looked up a word last week and that word was "pariah."
Tanouye: Okay, then you can take a dollar from the vocabulary jar.

Katty Biscone: Dude, check out my skis.
Betsy Stover: Dude, check out my gun.
Joe O'Brien: Dudes, check out my rake.
(Julie Brister then turns it into a "ski/gun/rake-off")
Brister: Gun wins!

O'Brien's pre-mixed cocktails

Brister: I've even got the court papers that prove it -- you're my mother.
Gideon Evans: But I'm a dude!

Dillinger was rocking it out.
From the rapidly aging Sarah Burns to Joe Wengerts "consumption" initiation and Risa's "It's a duel, I say, a duel" and Tanouye's much loved "vocabulary jar" scene. It was awesome.

If you missed it you should be shot.

Random Moments of funny:

"Oooo... Dungeons and Dragons! Lets Play!"

Angeliki's sad girl who just wants to get laid.

"We're not in fire squad for the t-shirts!"

Daly as the Italian father.

Sean, that's fine.

I'd quote some great PCR lines, but I didn't listen.

Instead, here's another Dillingem:

Anthony King, in mid-breakup, gives trick can of peanuts to Risa Sang-urai; snakes explode from can. Risa holds face of heartbreak and anguish for a solid 10 seconds.

Antny (sobbing): They weren't real peanuts.

During Dillinger's first ever(!) group game, after Sarah had been silnetly dawdling around the stage while Erik gave Lennon her allowance lecture, she finally breaks out: "I looked up a word last night and that word was pariah."

I'm addicted to characters who can be so awkward and yet so graceful simultaneously.
