ragnarock: really fun first show! smart, funny moves. really pushing ideas and playing inventively. loved it. jill's sisters and art historian songs were so great. loved patrick's delivery of the 'and i love YOU' line in the first beat of the pregnant scenes.

ari's 'that's not ___, that's ____' character was really fun. ryan's reaction to getting bit by decoster's mom.

bastian: loved brandon's 'tonight, i'm not ___' character. especially the mcclane one. and john murray's portrayal of the coked out negotiator. brian's 'MANDY FUUUUUCKING PATINKIN!' line. (things that amused me because i am a smarmy know-it-all: some percentage of bastian thinks die hard was about a diamond heist, and that mandy patinkin is a woman)

everyone killing risa's bone. birch's indignance at being told his scent was not for the business place. kevin's lecture on dark matter; so patient, i loved that whole thing.

the pattern in whorenado's friends group game. i loved gurewich's moves in that scene. fisher: 'we are TENURED PROFESSORS!' cracked me up.

shameless new team harold highlight: eddie brawley's 'i'm making an altar from all these tables i've been stacking on top of each other.'

RAGNAROCK: I loved Erik as a statue, then when Jill Donelly named it as the Venus de Milo, he quickly put his arms behind his back. For me, it's the little things.

Seriously, long live RAGNARÖCK. A super funny and smart show. It was also really impressive to see how supportive they were and how much they enjoyed playing together. Is it OK to say "kudos" anymore? Was it ever OK?

Ditto. Also in Ragnarock, loved The Glide's group game moves of being the leg braces kid, and tagging out to just stare at the compost heap.

While all the other teams were awesome (Brandon's 2nd beat Die Hard Scene and "it's hard to get a babysitter on a Saturday night", Brian "MANDY FUCKING PATINKIN!") my hat goes off to Ragnaröck. The support for a first show of new players was pretty incredible. In particular I wanted to put a fat improv crush out there for Ben Rameaka who took a shitload of risk putting his head down on the ground while teammates tagged in and out looking/dancing at him. Ben has always been a tight player but last night he was on top of his support and put his ass out there a number of times.

I was also making cow eyes at Jill's "well I was here all day" and Patrick's 20% Dad.

Long live Ragnaröck... although I thought I would never have to break out the umlaut key again after fwänd.
