Not a bad camera! Actually the pitcure is very solid. It's the output to editing that sucks. It does decent HD footage, but chews up mini DV tape(two for 15 minutes of footage), and ports out as MPEG2 video(not exactly an industry standard) for editing.

Here's where things get tricky. I already own Mac shit, and JVC has the only editing software that will work with this, and it's all IBM comptable. Just a different way to go, but not bad. If you have a great IBM, and money for the software, you can get a good camera. My money is still on the DVX100 from Panasonic for overall features.
