I like all that stuff! Which is the better train, the A or the 1?
If the A goes where you want to go, it's better, because it's express. Also, A trains are bigger than 1 trains, as Dan Dunford knows.

The A puts you a bit further away from the park, but the A does go express (until 11:00 pm), so it might be a better move. Take the A to 207 or the 1/9 to 215.

Erika, this is two blocks from my house, so I'll defnitely check it out.

The park is amazingly beautiful. The performances are right by the last remaining freshwater marsh in Manhattan as well, complete with ducks and swans.

you must. . .

take the A train.

take it to 207th. ride in one of the first 2 cars and exit at the 211th and broadway exit. exit up the north west (i think, i'll check tonight) staircase. there's a church on the corner of isham and broadway turn right on isham and walk up the hill (passing the church) it will bring you right to the park. i'm told that there will be signs and such pointing you the rest of the way.

i think it will be a pretty fun show. we're all pretty silly.

AND IT'S FREE! FREE! FREE!

i found out yesterday that Inwood Hill Park is home to 4 Bald Eagles!

you might see one if you see this show (i heard one last night during our first outdoor run)!

the bald eagle is the symbol of american freedom and nothing's more free than free Shakespeare in the park!

it would be unamerican to miss this show.

did you know that rock that marks the place where the native americans sold the island of manhattan to the dutch is located in INWOOD HILL PARK? it is. near the soccer fields on the other side of the marsh.

tonight, weather permitting, shakespeare.

we will do the show if it's sprinkling but not if it's pouring. we love shakespeare but not enough to get soaked through and catch our death of cold.

important information!!!

OKAY so the weather's been crappy. but as far as i know the show is on! i'll post if it changes.

NOW, here are some more detailed directions to the site of the play:

if you're entering from ISHAM ST & SEAMAN AVE you will take and immediate RIGHT before the softball field.

FOLLOW THE PATH, PAST the 2 (or3) softball fields, PAST the playground.

you should be at the top of a small hill overlooking the marsh area. FOLLOW THE PATH down the hill. at the bottom of the hill go RIGHT.

you will CROSS a little FOOT BRIDGE and see yet another softball field ahead of you.

walk toward the last softball field. you'll see tents and cars to the left of the field. that's where the play is happening.
