Yesterday my friend Kelli and I found NYC's best kept secret. Free Kayaking at Pier 26 (Hudson River, near financial district). All you have to do is fill out a waiver, say you can swim and they they give you free lockers to store you belongings. You throw on a life vest and get into your kayak and head out into the Hudson river for twenty minutes. You can go out pretty far and when the boats would pass by they would create huges waves which lift you up and down. They are open on Sat, Sun, Mon and Tues. This is definately a must do if you are looking for something for free. A great date idea as well.
