Monday, April 7, 7-9 p.m.
Lucinda Williams & The Jayhawks
Please join Lost Highway and The Onion as our guest at Rodeo Bar to celebrate the latest releases from Lucinda Williams and The Jayhawks. World Without Tears is Williams' much-anticipated follow-up to her critically acclaimed Essence. The Jayhawks' latest, Rainy Day Music, begins the next chapter in the storied career of a band readily cited as a pioneer of the "alt country" sound.
Come hear the new albums. Have a drink (beer for just $2). Lots of Williams and Jayhawks merchandise to give away, including tickets to see both acts live, as well as merch from The Onion. The albums don't officially go on sale until April 8th, but you can buy advance copies at Rodeo Bar at 9 p.m.
Bonus: The Onion will buy your first round of Rolling Rock if you email us at nypromo@theonion.com with "RSVP" in the subject. Include your name in the email so we can put you on the list.
