well, it still sounds like an mp3. which is to say, it will sound shitty.
but at least it doesn't snap crackle and pop like it does when you leave it as an mp3.

FCP 4 tip:
if you're shooting on a panasonic in 24p advanced mode, and want to end up in NTSC 29.97:
* capture footage using the 2:3 pulldown (there should be a setting for 24p advanced mode) and edit the project as 23.98 fps
* edit
* make a quicktime using the DV 23.98 setting, not the normal DV setting.
* you can burn a DVD in a program like iDVD -- the program will take your 23.98 .mov file and convert it quite nicely into ntsc mpeg-2.
now, printing to tape directly from FCP with a 23.98 project is a bit tricky. It should work, but do a test run of the full process before you start editing, so you're not up a creek...
