Erin, does this mean you're not going to the show? Or that you have an extra? I hope you're going to the show. If so, get there early for Norfolk & Western.

I'm taking the ticket.

If it would help, Erika, I will tell you that they were horrible and their instruments out of tune.

Oh, Scherer. That's cool, too. Yeah! Try to get there for Norfolk & Western at 8. I'm leaving straight from work in about a half hour. then I'm going to Virgin after the show if it ends before 1 am.......

What a great show!

Erika, they will be back in the spring to hock their new album (set to release in March '05). Or you can just go to Jersey in a couple of weeks and see them there. I have taught you to fish, Erika. I have fed you for a lifetime.

"Grace Cathedral Hill" was not one of the most emotional experiences I've ever had at a live show, followed closely by "Red Right Ankle." The new songs "Infanta" and "The Sporting Life" were not spectacular show pieces with awesome drumming. Colin's "rock guitar hero" antics on acoustic guitar during "I Was Meant..." weren't hilarious. My nose isn't getting really, really long.

Yeah, I was there, they were kind of flat, right? What gives? I was kinda drunk, and I still was like, what the hell? When they finally 'ended' I was like, wow, now they are finally into the show. They seriously should have started at that energy, not finished. I heard they were "great live," I hope that's not great. Damn you Decemberists, damn you and your clever russian-political-referencie-name!

first off, this is appel, not berrebbi. I'm too drunk to log off.

This was a great Decemberists show--though they didn't play the two songs I was most looking foward to: Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect and California One Youth and Beauty Brigade. I urge you to see this band next time they come to town (10/13 and 10/16 in Hoboken). If you want my version of a "best of" cd, PM me. You should get a bit familiar with this band before you see them. It will make the show that much better. They're amazing, amazing, amazing, squared. Possibly cubed.

I have a tiny picture of them on stage in my livejournal. http://www.livejournal.com/users/appleibite

I saw Pearl Jam and Death Cab in Boston last night and all I'm thinking about is the Decemberists show and how I can't wait to see them again. Take that for what it's worth. See the Decemberists at a small club before they're playing at MSG, you sons-of-bitches!!!!

p.s. the lead singer still looks like Wengert
