East Coast Funny Women Fest returns to New York City October 24-26, 2003!!!!
We will be accepting submissions for Improvisation, Short Films, Stand Up, Sketch, Solo Performance, Animation, etc. beginning July 1, 2003.
Your tape must be unedited, VHS format (Or DVD if you are really ambitious). We strongly encourage you to submit what you will be performing on the VHS. If you are submitting improvisation, we need to see your troupe.
Please make sure that we can see and hear your performance.
If the quality of the tape is poor and we cannot get a good representation of what you do, then we will not consider your submission.
Please include your headshot and resume, any press that you have accumulated, and a cover page along with all of your contact information including email address. Make sure to state how many people are in your troupe who'll be performing.
Please include a description of the format if experimental.
Keep in mind that this is a festival which means that the tech requirements should be minimal. Keep your lights and sound simple. Ideally, sound cues should be put onto a CD and lighting cues should be basic. Please include a brief description of your tech requirements.
Once you have submitted your tape, it becomes the property of Funny Women Fest, Inc and will not be returned to you. Here's something to consider: If your tape is expensive to duplicate or reproduce, you may want to dub it onto a store bought VHS.
If you want your tape returned, include a self addressed, stamped envelope with the appropriate amount of postage and we will return it to you. Otherwise it will not be returned.
