Duplicate IRC running at 66.250.47.168?

#1
I just posted the message below on what seems to be a bogus/duplicate IRC running at that I.P. Address. I had been on (what I thought was) the IRC this morning, thinking to myself "where is everybody?" and made a few posts (as well, it seems, as did a couple of other people.) My posts used to show up universally, but now there seems to be two IRCs running...(and I have to repost)

What's going on Mullaney?

----------

Bogus version of IRC at 66.250.47.168?

I've been using this IP Address (66.250.47.168) at work to access the IRC because I couldn't get through via the regular web address (improvisation.ws)...but today, I noticed there was hardly anyone on the IRC. Turns out...i guess at some point this morning...there are two IRCs going... one at the IP Address...and another at the regular web address.

I guess everyone using the web address is getting pointed somewhere else.

Anyway...the posts I made here this morning did not show up on the other version of the site.

Just thought you'd like to know.

And...you should try http://www.improvisation.ws/ now to see if it works.

I'm trying to read both sites at the same time. They have some of the same posts, but not all of them. In fact, the ip address one has more posts that the regular one. My brain hurts.

They're the same, but... different! Nooo! Weird branching realities!

I spent all morning at the "other" one. It's just whatever address I had in my "favorites". And have had since the last change.
I don't know why there are 2 going. Do I re-save THIS address to my favorites????

What's up Mullaney?

Looks like the 'phantom' IP Address version of the IRC is now out of commission...thankfully.

(Although I'm sure there are a few posts are on that version that never got 'transplanted' over to the 'real' version.)

My web hosting company had a problem and transferred servers (changing the IP number) without letting me know first or shutting down the other site. Thanks for letting me know via email, or I might not have caught it for a while.

I'm going to keep the direct IP numbers secret for now so that people can only access it through the name. I hope by Monday, everthing will be fine. *sigh*

If anyone put a lot of time into a particular post and they want to grab a copy of it from the old board. Let me know. I'll do my best to recover it.
