NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Scott Jennings
Coached by God (at least touched by him)

DSI is proud to announce Scott Jennings, expatriate of the UCB Theatre and current Harold coach for Community Bike, as the new Artistic Director for North Carolina's DSI Comedy Theater. He has already jumped full force into the position, with plans for DSI produced shows, new teams, and a consistent shaping of the theater experience. It is the dedication to comedy, from both the education and presentation of the artform AND a commitment to quality production that continues to have DSI as a huge force in the improv scene. We believe that Scott Jennings shares this dedication and we're excited to welcome him, his artistic vision and his motivation to push the DSI Theater Company even farther.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL COMEDY

DSI has created a community down here in North Carolina that's serious about improv comedy, and we welcome any outsider to check us out and see what's happening. Are you looking to move? DSI Comedy Theater hosts the Dirty South Improv Festival each year, one of the 3 largest improv comedy events in the country. We had 400+ improvisers in North Carolina last week and the festival was inspiring. DSI has hosted the finest improv talent in the country over the past couple years, but with the opening of our new theater Charna Halpern has been a special guest for Mister Diplomat, Douglas Sarine from AskaNinja.com and Baby Wants Candy made a surprise appearance, BEATBOX has played on a "home" stage, check out the Jimmie "JJ" Walker thread, DSI has produced Harold Night every Friday... It's a hot time!

I mention these things because I am extremely proud of the DSI Theater Company and all of the DSI Company Members.

Thanks,

Zach Ward | Executive Director

Congratulations Scott and all the new harold team members (especially Ethan xoxoxox)!

DSI has a really amazing thing going on down there. DSIF was the best improv festival I've ever attended and the people were some of the nicest and most talented folks I've ever met.
