The Double Feature show happens again this Friday at ComedyWorx(http://www.comedyworx.com), as it always does on the first Friday of every month at 10:30 pm.
For those who have never experienced this cinematic treat, the Double Feature is Raleigh, NC's only movie-improvising comedy troupe. The cast of the Double Feature delivers a complete movie-going experience (except our movies are performed live on stage).
Bring your suggestion for the movie genre you'd like to see, and it could join the Double Feature's improvised celluloid library alongside such classics as Yellow Birthmark Melodrama, Dueling Desperado Diaries, Inspirational Medical Story, Deli Musical, Sushi Bar Crime Scene Investigation, Hip-Hop Shakespeare, Mystery of the Broken Gourd, Intergalactic Space Wars, German Zombie Film, Redneck Murder Mystery, Weird Third Arm and Southern Belle Rampage.
During the show the cast selects two genres and performs a 20-30 minute improvised mini-movie of each. Plus, you get to see a multimedia extravaganza of movie-like features such as hilarious movie trailers, commercial parodies and pre-show slides. In past shows we've premiered videos that parody everything from Star Wars to The Ring to CSI. Plus, fans from Chicago to Virginia to NY have piled praise upon our parody trailer of snooty british films entitled Witherbottom. You can only catch this film here at the Double Feature.
As an added bonus, ComedyWorx/Double Feature Alumnus and now Chicago IO Team Member Jorin Garguilo will be returning to the stage once again this Friday bringing along one of his IO cohorts to add a little Chicago flavor to the fun and merriment.
