Does anyone want a PowerBook 190cs-Works!

#1
I have a working PowerBook 190cs, 8M RAM, .5 G hard drive, OS 7.5.2, Floppy drive, Global Village PowerPort Platinum PC Card (28.8K modem) with adaptor.

Purchased in 1995. I just powered it up and it works fine. It's so cute. A cute dinosaur. Or maybe you can use it for parts?

Will take best offer, a firm handshake, your unconditional love, whatever.

I'll give you $10 for it. My iMac is slowly dying, and it would be nice to have a life raft.

And Bernie will probably still buy you a beer.

So far it's neck and neck between Bernie's beer and Dan's offer to love it the way cute things should be loved. Though, I'm not sure Dan truly wants it.

Morgan, this computer is no life raft or replacement for an imac. It's hard to explain. I have an imac, and I use it, but turning on this old 190cs (it was the scaled-down academic model of the 5300) just made me happy. I played Eric's Solitaire on it for about an hour, for old time's sake.

I think on ebay someone had suggested that you should buy a bunch of these and put all your photos into them, hang them on your wall and run a slide show. I thought that was a great idea.

My iMac has signed a "do not resuscitate" form. It's lived a short but productive life, marred by frequent illness. By "life raft" I meant something that I could at least do word processing on after the iMac passes away, assuming that I have not yet saved up enough money to buy the new Mac laptop I have my eye on. Which is a fairly safe assumption to make.

I can't promise love. Kindness, and respect, yes. Perhaps something more could blossom, but that sort of thing is hard to predict.

Also, I guarantee you that Bernie would use it for porn. Just so you know.
