Hey guys, I've done some focus groups in the past and I'd do this one except that I'm booked for the weekend of the 8th. These things are usually forthright and honest. I know more than a few of us could use the $. Go for it.

well...

You could always call up the number and ask for more information about the program including references.

Considering that the information they're asking for in the initial query isn't exactly the stuff that ID theft is made of, I wouldn't be too worried just yet.

Dan, you're a great guy, but I'm going to turn down your request. Maybe some lurker will be kind enough to inquire for you.

I still love you in that "you're a great guy" kind of way:)

It's an answering machine/voice mail, you leave the basic info and that's it. I don't think there's much identity theft potential, but that doens't mean it's not a scam.

Dan, I need the receipt. Drop it off with my doorman. Oh wait, he's off this week. Ok, FedEx it to me. Be sure to check the box that says a signature is not required. I've gotta run across town to shine Rachel's shoes now.
