Folks, you are cordially invited by...

JD Amato, Adam Bozarth, Caitlin Brodnick, Alex Clothier, Steve Cronin, Katie East, TJ Del Reno, Shaun Diston, Shalyah Evans, Bridget Fitzgerald, Jesse Glasgow, Phil Jackson, Lisa Kleinman, Alexis Pereira, Steve Theiss, Zach Willis, and Michelle Wolf

...to check out UCB's Advanced Class Show entitled, "The Convergence," as taught by Kevin Hines.

Won't you come this Tuesday, Nov. 16, next Tuesday, Nov. 23, the following Tuesday, Nov. 30, and the final Tuesday (of the run), Dec. 7th? All at 11 pm!

It's 5 bucks or free if you stick around after Harold Night.

"The Convergence is about connections. The show is made up of long scenes -- each featuring a small cast -- that seem to have nothing in common. These scenes weave around each other building to a climax, feeding into each other more and more until finally their hidden secrets and layers will show how they are all connected. But mostly you will laugh." - Kevin Hines

Holy shit, what a fantastic show.

A form like this could easily lend itself to shoehorning ideas and really forcing two disparate stories together, which can cause a show to fall flat by the end. Those things can also trick improvisors into "writing" instead of improvising. Everyone on stage last night brought it hard, and it was fantastic to watch the teams truly "discover" on stage. The entire show was great, and the second half of the show really showed off how entertaining this form can be.

What a show to go out on; you should all be proud!!!
