New Classes Bring A World of Knowledge
Level 1: Fundamentals of Improv Comedy
DSI will focus on the basics of comedy improvisation: team-building, trust, speed, status, active listening, and agreement. You will learn to be fearless and have fun on stage. NO COMEDY OR THEATER EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
NEW Classes Starting Feb. 27, Mar 4, Apr 15, and May 2
Level 2: Scenic Improvisation
DSI Level 2 builds on the fundamental skills from Level 1. Begin to develop character in scenes, focus your object work and be more detailed in your environment. Learn to raise the stakes of otherwise ordinary relationships by exploring yourself and the scene. Required: DSI Level 1.
NEW Classes March 4th and April 6th.
Level 3L: Introduction to Harold
Know Harold, the most widely performed improv format. From organic openings to second and third beats, and group games, you will learn the structure that makes Harold the standard for every longform. Required: DSI Level 2 and instructor permission.
