Cntrl + Alt + Printscreen = Screen Capture...

#1
Hi all,
If you've ever used Cntrl + Alt + Printscreen to get a screencapture copied to your clipboard, and then pasted it into Photoshop or whatever to manipulate it,

do you know how to do it on a MAC?

I've done the screen capture with a PC a million times, but I don't know the command to do it on my G4.

Any suggestions?

It's Shift+Command+4

("command" being the key with the apple and "cloverleaf" symbols.)

It will bring up a crosshairs, which lets you select the area of the screen you want to capture, then it should leave a file named "Picture1.pdf" on your desktop.

(Press the Space bar to switch between cross-hair selection and Window capture modes. Control-click to capture to the clipboard instead of to a file.)

OutSTANDING.

Thanks, Terry.

I couldn't switch between window and cross-hair mode, and I'm not sure WHEN to control click to capture to the clipboard, but I'm not even half done playing with this yet.
Thanks for the help - this makes life easier.
Yay!
