Some of y’all are quite intelligent and know a variety of curious facts. I was wondering if any of you could riddle me this…

When the fare hike goes into effect, monthly Metrocard prices are going to rise $17, from $63 to $80. The way they currently work, your 30 days of use begin when you first swipe your card through the turnstile. They also have a one-year shelf life. If I were to buy a year’s worth on May 30th, then would I be able to use them throughout the year, effectively saving myself $300?

excellent query

I asked a subway booth clerk if
my card would be good if I bought it the day
BEFORE the change. They did'nt know or did'nt want to tell me.But how could they NOT honor it
if you paid for it LEGALLY?
